The eligibility for the United States working holiday scheme is as follows – The person must have a passport from the United States of America. This passport must have validity for minimum three months after the planned date on which the person leaves New Zealand. The minimum age of the person has to be 18. The maximum age of the person can be 30. The person cannot be accompanied by children. There must be a return ticket or enough funds to buy such a ticket. To cater to the living costs in New Zealand, there must be funds worth NZ$4200. The health and character requirements must be satisfied. During the total length of the stay in New Zealand, the person must have medical and comprehensive hospitalization insurance.
